BRETT BONNEMA
Middle and High school principal
Brett Bonnema comes to WSCA with several years’ experience first as a Principal and then Head of School at an International Christian School in Jakarta, Indonesia. Brett holds a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and a BA in Physical Education and a Minor in Secondary History Education from Calvin University. In his previous role with responsibility over academics, facility, finance, admissions, and accreditation, Brett’s experience will be utilized well while leading WSCA’s middle and high school. Before serving as a Principal and Head of School in Indonesia, Brett taught middle school history and PE for nearly ten years at Covenant Day School in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Brett and Lauren, his wife of twelve years, have three elementary-aged boys. While being a busy father and school administrator, Brett has also served as a deacon and elder in his Charlotte and Jakarta churches.
BETH TIPPETT
Elementary principal
Beth Tippett (BS Elementary Education, East Carolina University, M.Ed. Teaching Technology – Lesley University, MA School Administration, University of North Carolina at Pembroke) came to WSCA with extensive experience, including starting a church-based Christian school, time as a curriculum and instruction coordinator, and involvement in education for 25+ years.
SOPHIE MCCRACKEN
ASSISTANT K-12 principal
Sophie McCracken (BS Early Childhood and Special Education and M.Ed. Curriculum and Instruction – Messiah University, Post Masters Coursework in School Administration, Shippensburg University) came to WSCA from Cumberland Valley Schools with eight years of experience as an elementary teacher.
