Leadership

Brett Bonnema, Head of School for the West Shore Christian Academy High School Campus, came to WSCA with several years of experience, first as a Principal and then Head of School at an international Christian school in Jakarta, Indonesia. In his previous role, he had responsibility over academics, facilities, finance, admissions, and accreditation. Before serving as a Principal and Head of School in Indonesia, Brett taught middle school history and physical education for nearly 10 years at Covenant Day School in Charlotte, North Carolina. Brett holds an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and Administration and a B.A. in Physical Education from Calvin University. Brett and his wife, Lauren, have three sons who attend WSCA.

Becky Crone, High School Principal at West Shore Christian Academy, has over 20 years of experience in education. She has faithfully served at WSCA for over 10 years as a Learning Support Teacher, Instructional Coach, and Assistant Principal. Becky is committed to servant leadership and is eager to support the school community by partnering with faculty, staff, and families to foster a thriving learning environment. She holds a B.S. in Education from Penn State University. Becky and her husband, Scott, have a son who graduated from WSCA.

 

Beth Tippett, Head of School for the West Shore Christian Academy K–8 Campus, came to WSCA with more than 25 years of experience in education, including founding a church-based Christian school and serving as a curriculum and instruction coordinator. She is passionate about fostering academic excellence while nurturing students' spiritual growth. Beth holds an M.Ed. in Teaching Technology from Lesley University, an M.A. in School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, and a B.S. in Elementary Education from East Carolina University.

 

Scott Fasick, Middle School Principal at West Shore Christian Academy, brings more than 30 years of experience in educational leadership, student development, and program administration. Most recently, he served in leadership roles at Milton Hershey School, working closely with students, families, and staff to support academic and personal growth. Scott earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Houghton University and his M.S. in Education from the University of Akron. He later completed his principal certification through Drexel University. Scott and his wife, Jenn, have been married for 30 years and have two adult daughters, Cana and Ellie. He is passionate about helping young people discover God's purpose for their lives and is excited to serve the WSCA middle school community. 

Carolyn Oplinger, Elementary Principal at West Shore Christian Academy, is a WSCA graduate. She has faithfully served the school as registrar, school counselor, and Assistant Principal before stepping into her current role. Carolyn holds an M.Ed. in School Counseling and a B.A. in Biblical Studies with an emphasis in Professional Counseling from Lancaster Bible College. She also holds a Pennsylvania Department of Education Level II Certification and an ACSI Professional Level Certification in School Counseling. Carolyn and her husband, Joshua, have a son and a daughter who attend WSCA.
