Theater

Drama enables our students to explore and experience a range of feelings and emotions in a safe and secure environment. It helps develop moral, social, and spiritual awareness, gives a sense of achievement, fosters community, and gives students an opportunity to express themselves.

Beginning in the 2026–2027 school year, WSCA will transition to offering separate Middle School and High School musical productions. The Middle School musical will take place in the fall semester, while the High School musical will continue in its traditional March timeframe. This change provides more opportunities for students to grow, participate, and showcase their talents.

WSCA students produce high-quality Broadway-style musicals with a live pit orchestra. Students of all skill levels are encouraged to participate, with opportunities both onstage and backstage. Roles include acting, singing, choreography, student leadership, and stage crew. Additional opportunities include set design, construction and painting, costuming, props, sound and lighting, makeup, advertising, and production support during performances.

Through these productions, students not only develop performance skills but also grow in confidence, collaboration, and character.

Some of our graduates have gone on to participate in collegiate-level theater programs and have performed in professional productions such as Sight & Sound Theatres.

Eligible homeschool students are welcome to participate in WSCA musicals. The homeschool participation fee is $300 per musical.

Middle School Junior Musical

WSCA’s Middle School Junior Musical is part of the WSCA Performers program and provides students in Grades 5–8 with the opportunity to participate in a Christ-centered theatrical production. Students grow in acting, singing, dancing, and stage performance while developing confidence, creativity, and collaboration skills.

This fall production takes place after school with performances in November. Students in Grades 7–8 may also have opportunities for backstage crew involvement.
