Students at WSCA are encouraged to get involved in campus life through a variety of activities where they can explore God-given talents and build meaningful relationships with other students and faculty. Spirit Week, Homecoming, Spiritual Emphasis Week, and R.A.C.E. are just a few of the social activities WSCA students also enjoy over the course of the year.
Spiritual Emphasis Retreats
Spiritual Emphasis Retreats utilize an experiential learning format to encourage and challenge students spiritually. During the retreats, students and faculty from WSCA and HCS (Harrisburg Christian School) participate together in a fun team activity designed to teach a particular spiritual principle.
Students have opportunities for service from the earliest grades to their senior year, including the annual Day of Service to the greater Harrisburg area. We want to teach students the value of service for Christ's sake and equip them to make an impact by partnering with local organizations.
Clubs and Organizations
WSCA offers a variety of clubs and organizations for middle and high school students. We have active National Honor Society and Student Council clubs. We are also a National Merit Scholarship Program.
CSAGH schools compete annually in the Run to Advance Christian Education event. R.A.C.E. is a community-building fundraising event in which students can participate and make a lasting difference in Christian education.
J-Term is a distinctive educational experience providing students with in-depth, experiential learning in a particular area of interest. All students can participate in fun, interest-based classes both on and off campus. Juniors and seniors in good standing may apply to participate in a J-Term internship where they can shadow a professional and explore a potential career.
Spirit Week is a fun week at WSCA. Students get to dress in their favorite costumes and attire to match the distributed schedule. The dress code varies each day from Superhero Day to Crazy Hair Day to Pajama Day, and more! Students love participating and brightening the dark winter days with their smiles and laughter during Spirit Week.
Homecoming at WSCA is a semi-formal social held off campus. Students grades 9-12 attend and celebrate with dancing, games, and snacks.
