Service Opportunities
Matthew 22 commands us to “love your neighbor as yourself." We want to stir students' hearts to serve Jesus in every capacity of their lives. This is why we create opportunities for students to serve their community from the earliest grades to senior year.
Elementary Students
At the elementary level, students participate in service opportunities such as Operation Christmas Child and Baby Bottle Blast, a fundraiser for the Capital Area Pregnancy Center. Second grade students also take a field trip to Country Meadows to play games and spend time with senior residents.
Middle and High School Students | Day of Service
Middle and high school students participate in a Day of Service each spring, fanning out into the greater Harrisburg area to partner with local organizations and churches.
Students have further service opportunities during J-Term each January. WSCA's choir and orchestra have also performed at diverse venues such as the Pennsylvania State Capitol, Hersheypark, Candylane, and local nursing homes.
